Biography[]

Scouting Ace[]

Wild Bill returns to Duffy to scout Ace, who has the potential to go pro. However, there's a bit of tension between the Bill and Jack, as Jack believes Bill could've done more to help the company after he made it big time. Bill isn't convinced that the DWL will ever make it big league, informing Jack that his dad only started the business as a pastime and hobby. To Bill, the best Jack can hope for is that someone like Ace gets founded and escorted to better things.

Wild Bill watches from up top as Jack screws Ace during their main event, attacking him from behind and placing him in an arm bar, nearly breaking Ace's arm and making him cry.[1]

After ignoring his calls for the last two days, Bill returns Ace's call and tells him that the incident between him and Jack in the ring has slowed down their progress, as it wasn't a good look for Ace, who cried after the fact. Bill advises Ace to hop on a rival promotion like FWD and Charlie Gully.[2]

Fired from the company[]

Wild Bill attends a board meeting to discuss the new redesigned title belt. However, Bill isn't impressed, as the belt now resembles a kid's toy. However, he will reluctantly endorse the belt, as it's what the company asks of him. After the meeting, he catches a plane to Cleveland. During the flight, he becomes so intoxicated that at one point, she strips off his clothes and exits the bathroom naked with nothing more than a hat on his head and a title belt around his waist for the other flyers to record.

After being suspended, he goes to Willie for help and stays at her house with her family. Bill then calls his manager, who tells him to play nice until renegotiations are done. She warns him that his behavior is toxic and that he needs to go to rehab. It’s a legitimate gesture that they may respond to with some compassion. Wild Bill is to do nothing until she says otherwise. Unfortunately, after spending some time with Ace, Wild Bill gets a call from his boss Maria, who reveals that he's been let go from the company.

Angry by his release, Wild Bill takes it out on Willie, goading her into a fight, calling Ted a wiener and saying that it's too bad he wasn't around to pay for Robin's abortion. In a fit of rage, Willie attacks Bill before returning to the house. The following day, Bill is kicked out and forced to stay at a motel. He spends another night getting drunk. He gets onto the roof of the motel and exclaims: "I am Wild Bill Hancock, and I am here! I am alive! Wake the f*ck up, y'all! Who wants to play?"[3]

Wild Bill holds a press conference to discuss his incident on the plane and how he was fired for his actions. After a stint in rehab, Wild Bill promises that he'll be back. Afterward, Bill offers Jack his expertise, but Jack isn't interested and tells him to get lost. He's even less pleased to see Bill after hearing what he said to Willie.

Bill runs into Staci at the store. Staci suspects that Bill wants to stick it to Jack because he reminds Bill of Tom. While Jack isn't half as skilled, Bill does admit he's just as cocky and arrogant despite his staggering lack of accomplishments. However, Staci argues that Jack is breathing new life into the DWL while also building a family life that Bill will never have. Staci then mentions that Jack's intends to land the State Fair and that he's going to prove Wild Bill wrong.

Rejoining the DWL[]

Bill approaches Crystal as she prepares for the match between Ace and Bobby Pin. He wishes Crystal good luck and offers her some advice. He tells her to pull her hair back when she walks down to the ring so that the crowd can see her. Her pretty face is more of an attraction than any muscles. However, Crystal reveals that after tonight, she will no longer be Ace's valet, which Bill assumes is Jack's doing due to his short-sightedness. If Jack was smart, he'd mine that drama and the buzz that the screw job caused, Bill adds. The crowd is more likely to believe when they say what they really feel. Even if it's not in the script, Bill advises Crystal to lean into her feelings and seize the moment.

That night, Wild Bill watches from the concession stand as Crystal seizes the moment, just as he advised. However, her provoking Ace leads to him breaking Bobby Pin's leg. After Bobby is carried out on a stretcher, Wild Bill grabs a mic and enters the ring to challenge Jack and Ace in a three-way ladder match for the title. Jack comes out to the ring with the title belt in hand. He plays along with the narrative Bill has created and agrees to the match.[4]

Wild Bill apologizes to Willie for what he said to her. A long time ago, when he was still in Duffy and they were together, he was more open to being kind, but he's changed since then. Bill reveals that he was kind back then because he loved her, but then one day, she just dropped him, and it crushed him. She explains that Tom was being scouted and asked her to be his valet, which she accepted, as she thought it was a better bet with being Tom's valet than Wild Bill's. Willie apologizes for hurting him long ago, and for that, she's sorry, but she thought that allowing him to stay at her house would make up for it and show that she was there for him as a friend. But her daughter had nothing to do with what Willie ever did, which is why Bill shouldn't have said what he said and is apologizing.[5]

Wild Bill and Ace debate which of them should win the title belt during the match. Later, during try-outs, he is challenged by Crystal, which ultimately ends with her impressing the crew and flipping Bill on his back with a head scissors, leaving Debbie to question why they don't have women wrestlers.[6]

South Georgia State Fair[]

Wild Bill shows up at Crystal's to help get her back into the DWL. He asks her to play the role of Bunny Bombshell, his valet, but she initially turns him down. Wild Bill pushes further, explaining that everyone at the fair will lose their minds when they see Crystal as the newest Bunny B.

Backstage at the fair, Wild Bill takes the "first tier" drugs he scored from Diego and instantly begins to feel the effects. Elsewhere, Crystal thanks Willie for helping her out. Willie is only sorry it isn't wrestling. She once said that Crystal didn't belong in the DWL but now realizes that she was wrong.

Wild Bill walks down to the ring with Crystal in tow as Bunny Bombshell. Bill gives a quick promo about his rivalry with the Spade brothers before the match begins. The three-way match is underway when Bill craps his pants after being knocked on the ropes and plays dead to save himself the embarrassment, leaving only Jack and Ace in the ring. As they scale the ladder, the crowd begins throwing Kleenex in the ring. Ace asks Jack if this was his idea. "Not this time. It was my idea the first time," Jack admits. In a fit of rage, Ace attacks Jack until Crystal intervenes and wins the championship. Wild Bill even exposes himself in order to stop Gully from interfering in the match.[7]
